The Development Strategy of the Faculty of Economic Sciences for the period 2022-2026 defines the development directions of the faculty, based on the Strategy of the State University of Moldova for the same period. Through the objectives and actions set out in the Strategy, the goal is to further strengthen the role of MSU as a classical institution with traditions, responsible and able to offer society both competent specialists and projects that develop solutions to large-scale problems.
The continuous transformations in the university environment, as well as the strict national and international legal regulations in the field of higher education, require dynamic actions and problem solving in order to maintain the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the forefront. In this context, the integration of the faculty into the international space is also determined by a series of international cooperation agreements, including the development of joint double degree programs.
The faculty promotes an educational policy that meets the needs of the labor market and the beneficiaries of the three cycles of higher education: Cycle I, Bachelor’s degree; Cycle II, Master’s degree; Cycle III, Doctorate.
The faculty strategy defines the main capabilities of MSU in the following areas of activity:
- training;
- research;
- technological transfer;
- internationalization;
- relations with the labor market;
- development of a personality with a system of moral values and adaptability to a constantly changing socio-economic environment.
The faculty strategy is developed in accordance with the following legislative requirements:

- Key Competences for Lifelong Learning (Brussels, 2018);
- European Qualifications Framework;
- Sustainable Development Goals (UN);
- Education Development Strategy for 2021-2030 “Education 2030”;
