Activity plans

The activity of the Department of Economics, Marketing, and Tourism is closely coordinated with the activities of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, and these activities are reflected in the activity plan covering various aspects such as:

The structure and update of academic programs for Bachelor’s programs: Marketing and Logistics; Hotel Services, Tourism and Recreation, Master’s programs: Marketing Studies; Hotel Management and Marketing and Tourism; and the improvement program in Hotel Services, Tourism, and Recreation. This includes the introduction of new courses or updating existing ones to align with labor market requirements.

Activities focused on planning and implementing research projects in the fields of economics, marketing, and tourism through participation in national and international conferences and the publication of research results. This also includes organizing the International Scientific Symposium “Sustainable Tourism Development: Actualities and Opportunities.”

Prioritizing the development and maintenance of partnerships with relevant companies and organizations in the industry by efficiently utilizing opportunities for internships, practical projects, and collaborations with industry professionals.

Organizing extracurricular activities for students, including events, conferences, seminars, workshops, excursions, practical workshops, and seminars with special industry guests to support student development beyond the academic program.

Activities focused on promoting study programs and academic staff, as well as student achievements through the introduction of innovative student-centered teaching, learning, and assessment methods, developed at the highest level to ensure the implementation of initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion within the department.

Developing the capacities of teaching staff through participation in training and professional development programs, training courses, aimed at improving academic skills, is also an essential element of the department’s activities.
